Title:
Preoperative Computerized Tomography Localization Combined with Nanoparticle-Carbon Tracer to Improve Efficacy of Radical Thyroidectomy
Authors:  Mei Jin, B.S., Xin Li, M.M., and Li Liu, M.M.
Objective: To analyze the application effect of nanoparticle-carbon tracer in radical thyroidectomy. Given the extremely high incidence of thyroid cancer, preoperative imaging examination is the key to determining the effect of surgical treatment. Traditionally, computerized tomography (CT) cannot accurately display some complicated lesions and lymph nodes, so auxiliary local dyes are necessary to help doctors make the diagnosis. The application effect of nanoparticle-carbon tracer in thyroid cancer, as a kind of tracer with extremely significant display on lymphatic vessels, however, lacks reliable research support.
Study Design:
This study analyzes the effect of preoperative CT combined with NP-C tracer on radical thyroidectomy, indicating that preoperative CT combined with NP-C tracer should be widely used in radical thyroidectomy in the future.
Results:
Through the staining of nanoparticle-carbon in patients undergoing radical thyroidectomy, it was found that the operation time and intraoperative blood loss were evidently reduced, the lymph node detection rate and postoperative thyroid function were distinctly enhanced, and the prognostic quality of life was effectively improved.
Conclusion:
These results indicate that preoperative CT combined with nanoparticle-carbon tracer carried huge implications in radical thyroidectomy and should be widely used in radical thyroidectomy in the future.
